How to Explain EDM Worship Music to a Five-Year-Old

How to Explain EDM Worship Music to your five-year-old is an interesting challenge, especially when you are unfamiliar with Christian EDM. In this article, we will take a look at its origins, genre, and popularity. Even a five-year-old will appreciate electronic dance music’s ability to convey the concept of eternal rapture.

Christian EDM

If you’re thinking of playing Christian EDM worship music to your child, you might be wondering if it’s appropriate for this age group. EDM, or electronic dance music, is a type of modern music that is often made in conjunction with Christian lyrics. Christian artists who make Christian EDM songs include Matthew Parker, Hannah Schaefer, and Built By Titan. These artists have a variety of genres that they can appeal to.

Christian artists have also gotten into the genre by mixing music from different genres. One of the most popular groups, The Corner Room, began by setting Psalms to music. Today, they’ve written over 25 Scripture songs. They recently released an album aimed at kids called “The Corner Room: Songs of Praise & Worship.” Another group, Austin Stone Worship, has produced an album of worship for kids that includes interactive lyric videos, dance videos, and online resources.

In addition to popular Christian artists, you can also try out EDM-styled music. One of my favorite Christian dubstep releases is Wild Love, by the band X. The lyrics of this song refer to God’s unconditional love and care in heaven. I would recommend this album if you want your child to experience God’s love. Similarly, the song’s electronic sound is fun and dance-worthy. The beats per bar are four.

Another great Christian EDM worship music to introduce to your five-year-old is Kristene DeMarco. Aside from her popular songs, she also mentors young Christian artists to use their talents for God’s glory. Bethel Church, which is based in California, is the home of Bethel Music. The congregation was largely known in the early 2000s for its charismatic style of worship, which has helped it become one of the world’s most influential praise and worship bands.

Origins

There are many different ways to describe Christian EDM, but the most popular form of the genre is called Christian Electronic Dance Music (EDM). Like other forms of EDM, Christian EDM has no religious connotations and can be purely secular. Regardless of the reason behind its popularity, many Christians are already familiar with this newer form of Christian music. The genre can encompass any type of worship song, from upbeat electronica to more spiritual and contemplative songs. The artistry involved can range from the traditional Christian music scene to more secular artists, such as Hillsong USA or Christina Aguilera.

Christian EDM has several distinct aspects that make it unique. Although it uses more traditional instruments for worship, it also utilizes elements of the EDM aesthetic, including quarter-note bass thumps, cycles of musical “builds,” and a high-energy, tempo of 130 bpm. For Christians, EDM worship music can feel a bit like clubbing, but it is not as extreme. Regardless of its religious connotations, Christian worship music has a long and colorful history.

The genre was created in the 1970s and has since become widely popular. It is rooted in disco music, which sought to move crowds on the dance floor by incorporating electronic instruments and synthesized rhythms. Its popularity rose with the debut of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” (a song written by Pete Bellotte), and later became a hit for Daft Punk and Giorgio Moroder. Some of the most popular examples of EDM worship music are Hillsong United, Jesus Culture, and Bethel Music. Many churches are using EDM music and live software platforms like Ableton.

The earliest Christian EDM music was released on Blonde Vinyl Records. In 1992, this label released influential Christian groups, including the aforementioned Prodigal Sons. After a short hiatus, the group renamed themselves Slyder, R.R.D.S., Shiny Toy Guns, and others. The latter two bands branched off as different labels.

Genre

While you’re teaching a five-year-old about the benefits of Christian EDM, you must remember that you are not the one teaching the genre. Even if you have a background in theology, you should not be preaching about the eschatological joy of Jesus Christ to him. EDM is a genre of music that is uniquely equipped to help human beings understand the rapture of the church.

Popularity

The recent explosion of Christian EDM artists in the world of worship music has been both exciting and enlightening. The genre has been embraced by both mainstream Christians and non-Christians alike. It has grown in popularity, especially among younger believers, and has become a staple of congregational performances and studio-recorded Christian worship music. Church worshipping EDM artists is not as much about the artists themselves as their impact on the congregation.

Christian EDM songs often combine contemporary Christian dance with traditional hymns. The lyrics are often short and simple, and a song is a form of worship. This kind of music tends to be slower and has a more reverent tone than mainstream music. In addition, the lyrics often talk about love and God. These songs are usually uplifting and can help the listener feel closer to God. The resulting feelings of worship can leave anyone feeling refreshed and renewed.

Besides mainstream Christian worship music, Christian hip hop is also a popular genre. Christian hip hop tends to have fast, repetitive beats. It is also more aggressive than traditional Christian songs. Some songs even contain derogatory and sexual references. Many of these songs are influenced by hip hop and other genres of music. Therefore, if you’re looking for a new kind of music to accompany your church worship services, electronic dance music might be the perfect choice for you.

The growing popularity of EDM worship music has led to the development of Christian electronic dance styles. While there are plenty of differences between Christian and EDM music, they are both electronic, dance music that shares a common theme. Christians and non-Christians alike can find a wide variety of music that fits their personal preferences. And, of course, EDM worship songs are often very evocative. And they’re also geared toward a younger demographic.

Geopolitics

You might think that talking about geopolitics is a little bit of an academic undertaking, but this writer, not her real name, learned about the dance music scene in fifth grade when she stumbled upon 93.1 WFEZ in Miami. Her passion for dance music culture has led her to write a book about it and defend some bold theses on geocentrism and geopolitics. In her book, Danielle argues that this kind of music has a spiritual message, but that it should not be used to sway kids away from religion.
