Upbeat Christian Music has been the subject of much discussion in recent times as many Christians are scrambling for an adequate musical genre to call their own. Upbeat Christian Music can be called a sub-genre of Christian Music yet it has its roots firmly planted in Christian Music genres. As a result this sub-genre has become extremely popular. Christian Upbeat Music has grown in popularity to such an extent that it is no longer simply Christian but has also gained a reputation as “Lite Christian” Music which is becoming more accepted by the general public.
Upbeat Christian Music continues to evolve like any other musical genre. Christian Upbeat Music continues to take cues form the likes of alternative Christian Music and PC Music but it’s sound has evolved to take on characteristics of an entire new sound. Upbeat Christian Music continues to draw on influences from worldwide Christian worship movements. It has slowly but surely found its way into the mainstream with Christian radio stations all over America carrying many different Christian radio stations and Christian musical acts.
One of the biggest influences of Christian Music has come from American Christian workout music groups. The Christian workout music group Crossfit introduced the world to CrossFit, a sport that emphasizes fitness through a series of intense workouts. CrossFit’s influence on Christian Music has grown as many Christian athletes have incorporated the workout techniques into their workout routines. CrossFit has influenced a whole new generation of Christian athletes and with many Christians following in their footsteps, the popularity of Christian workout music has grown tremendously. One of the best Christian workout songs is by Matt Redman who is an advocate of Christian fitness and Christian spirituality.
Upbeat Christian Music features songs that inspire Christians to remain in shape, strengthen their bodies, and lead the Word of God in their lives. Matt Redman is an excellent Christian singer and songwriter who has gained popularity in the Christian community for his Christian songs and music albums. One of my favorite Upbeat Christian Songs by Matt Redman is “Give Me the Reason.” This song expresses concern and hope for those who are going through a rough time. The song is full of hope for those who are struggling with addiction and are trying to find strength in God.
Another excellent song by Matt Redman is “I am Driven” which speaks of how he lost his own freedom but found true meaning in staying true to himself despite temptations from the devil. A great selection of songs on the Upbeat Christian Music Workout playlist include “The Battle of Everlast,” “Wake Me Up Before You Sleep,” and “I Am Driven.” There are also several excellent songs from the movie The Last Supper that I would recommend if you are a fan of this faith.
C.W. Smith, another well known Christian singer, offers another song that will uplift and inspire you. His song, “Wake Me Up Before You Sleep” speaks of having a solid mind and soul but being able to move on with the flow of life when the going gets tough. If you have a weakness that causes you to be down and out, you can still find hope by listening to “Wake Me Up Before You Sleep.” On my personal list of uplifting Christian workout music, this is definitely one of my favorites.
My favorite collection of uplifting Christian songs by Christian musicians is Run Devil Run by Matt Daigle. He has produced several albums that are perfect for running or jogging and he incorporates Christian messages into his music. Most of Run Devil Run is about Jesus but there is one track that talks about how forgiveness is a must. I am not sure who the singer is talking about but it’s a good bet that it is none other than Bucket of Fruits from Christ the Master. I am a big fan of both songs and can quote them in case you ever need a reminder to get up and run.
As with any form of inspirational christian workout music, no matter what your faith is, you can always find something to listen to that is right for you. Running is good for the body and the mind. When you are doing your daily devotions or just sitting down and listening to your favorite hymn, you will be inspired by what you are reading or absorbing from your faith. When you combine the spirit of God with inspiring Christian songs you will be amazed at how it will enhance your faith and your daily walk.
